Home Visit

Physiotherapists help treat people with physical movement problems. We understand that sometimes the very reason that you need physio services means that you cannot physically come in to one of our practices for treatment. Barker Physiotherapy are one of the few physiotherapy practices that fix this problem; We still see patients at their own homes.

When clinically indicated, we will make arrangements to treat you at your own home. This must be specifically arranged when you make your appointment. We will need to know a few details about the specific patient’s medical situation so we can bring the appropriate equipment along.

There is an additional fee that is levied for this service, but it is claimable from your medical aid. The cost for travelling will be levied depending on the actual distance travelled to and from our practice.

If you have a home visit appointment, please ensure that you are ready for the therapist’s arrival at the scheduled time. This includes access to the property, and the physical readiness of the patient. For our therapist’s safety, please can you ensure that your dogs or other pets are kept away from them.
